Outline

The gist of the argument is as follows:
  • Republicanism has, at its root, a fundamental belief which is similar to social-darwinism.
  • People who are social-darwinist have a tendency towards corrupt practices.
  • The more social-darwinists in a society, the more corrupt the society becomes.
  • A corrupt society is not the best society.
Details to follow, naturally.

F15ST P0ST!

Hi. This blog is rather personal, in that, its sole purpose is to record this argument that I've been developing over the last few months about why I think Republicanism, as a theoretical framework for how one should live his life and how society should be organized, is a bad idea. In fact, I'm pretty convinced that several symptoms of a corrupt society originate from the Republican ideal, and that our American society is slowly mirroring this corruption.

I'll blog my argument, which begins by examining the origins of Republicanism, and continue developing from there.
